The ruins of the Inca City of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu rediscovered in 1911 by Yale archaeologist Hiram Bingham, are one of the most beautiful and enigmatic ancient sites in the world. Standing 2,430 m above sea level, in the midst of a tropical mountain forest in an extraordinarily beautiful setting, Machu Picchu was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height. Its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments.

Inca City seems to have a miniature appearance to it in this composition. Processing in B&W really helps emphasize the textures and patterns seen in the layers of stone. Great capture!! Thank you for the background information as well.

El tratamiento que le hiciste a la foto te quedó fantástico. El nivel de detalle es muy bueno y lo mismo que te dije cuando vi tus fotos de M.P., que me gustan sobremanera porque están tomadas desde ángulos no conocidos ni clásicos.
